What’s Beach Tennis

What’s Beach Tennis

It is like a combination of regular tennis and beach volleyball into one exciting sport. Using regular tennis rackets on a sand court (same size as beach volleyball), two players on each side hit depressurized tennis ball back and forth without letting it bounce. You lose a point when hitting the ball outside the lines or letting it hit in the sand. Same scoring as regular tennis but is one-match/eight games.
Beach Tennis is played with either a racket or a paddle.

Beach tennis was born in Brazil, and is now played across the world. The popularity grew majorly especially in Italy, Spain, and the United States and are broadcasted through television networks nationwide. There are about 20,000 to 30,000 players in the world today.
Beach Tennis USA (BTUSA) has planned an international tour of 2009 with big money prizes. It is so simple and fun to play that appeals to athletes and non-athletes of all ages. It is also expected to become an official sport in the Olympics 2012.
JBTA will host both racket and paddle tournaments of 2009, given advice by Japan Tennis Association (JTA).

Proposal of Beach Tennis

It is precisely a new sport that enables all ages/families to have fun. It’s similar to a traditional gamehagoita, badminton, traditional tennis, and beach volleyball all unified together. This means that this sport is new but similar.

Your dream can come true!
Since beach tennis is a new sport worldwide, everybody has a chance to become a professional player.
